AADROL utilizes the services of trained mediator/attorney Jack A.
Draper II. Mr. Draper was admitted to the California State Bar in 1975,
after graduating from the University of Southern California Law Center
with a Juris Doctor degree, as well as an M.S. from the USC
School of Public Administration, in 1974. Mr. Draper received his basic
mediation training from the Institute for Conflict
Management, which has trained over 2700 mediators from throughout
the United States, as well as advanced mediator training by the nationally recognized Pepperdine University Straus Institute.
Before opening AADR as a full time ADR and ODR practice in 2007, Mr. Draper maintained his own civil litigation practice from 1989 to 2007, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of
areas, including environmental, energy, oil and gas, employment, civil
rights, personal injury , real estate, construction and land use
matters. Prior to 1989, Mr. Draper served as Senior Attorney and
Assistant Secretary to Atlantic Richfield Company in Los Angeles and
Bakersfield, and as an Associate Attorney for Baker & McKenzie
in international practice. Mr. Draper also has international government
experience through serving as Counsel to the Asian Development Bank and
as a Fellow of the International Legal Center of New York, resident in Indonesia. Mr.
Draper is fluent in German and Indonesian, is conversant in basic
Spanish, and has studied Cantonese and Mandarin. Mr. Draper has traveled broadly
internationally in his legal career, including travel for projects in
China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Mexico and the United
Kingdom. Mr. Draper's broad transnational and multicultural
experience provides a unique perspective for reconciling
diverse positions and viewpoints, working in multi-cultural environments, and achieving mutually favorable
